Wawanesa announces $2 million annual fund for climate resiliency
Insurance company announced a $2 million/year program called Wawanesa Climate Champions to support climate resiliency.
Through the Environmental Guardians aspect of this program, funding will support a wide variety of groups working on nature-based solutions.
The company is partnering with:
- Youth Climate Lab
- World Wildlife Fund Canada
- Tree Canada
- ALUS
- Ducks Unlimited Canada
- Nature Conservancy of Canada
- Institute for Catastrophic Loss Reduction (ICLR)
- FireSmart™ Canada
- Farmers for Climate Solutions
- Centre for Indigenous Environmental Resources (CIER)
- Canadian Red Cross
