Our new Green Communities Guide Case Study is now live. This case highlights the Constructed Wetlands and Wetland Reestablishment Project near Uncas in Strathcona County - an inspiring example of how municipalities can lead local conservation efforts while restoring vital wetland ecosystems.

Through the creation of six new wetlands on a historically drained site, Strathcona County demonstrates the power of nature-based solutions in improving local biodiversity, increasing water storage and enhancing climate resilience. The site has also been designed to support public education and community outreach, offering an accessible location to share the importance of wetland ecosystems.
