Virtual tour of NBS underway to protect New York shorelines on tenth anniversary of Superstorm Sandy

Climate Week NYC coincided with the 10th anniversary of Superstorm Sandy, which caused immense damage and extensive flooding. A virtual tour was offered, showcasing climate-resiliency-enhancing NBS projects underway at two sites: Living Breakwaters and the Tottenville Shoreline Protection Project. According to one of the project proponents, these initiatives are “about both coastal risk reduction and ecological restoration.”
