Three recommendations to address Canada's costliest climate impact from University of Waterloo

Did you know that flooding is the costliest impact of climate change in Canada? A report from the University of Waterloo provides three primary recommendations to mitigate the risk of flooding as climate change intensifies:

  • integrated watershed management more consistent across provinces
  • watershed approach and funding to high-risk watersheds
  • increased use of NBS
