European cities leaning on NBS to address climate threats and add social benefits, including happiness

The European project NBSINFRA is exploring the implementation of NBS to help protect critical infrastructure during catastrophic events that are becoming increasingly frequent due to climate change. While NBS are being adopted globally not only for their ability to increase climate resilience but also add social value, including happiness, to  urban communities, the International Institute for Sustainable Development reports that NBS could in fact contribute to 37% of worldwide CO2 mitigation targets in the next 5 years.
